Testimonials

For me, IDEAL provides a stage for students to sharpen their public speaking and leadership skills, which are equally as important as the education received at UCLA.

         – Parus Suraprasert, Class of 2012

IDEAL transformed me into a very take-charge person. Rather than waiting for others to make the first move, I found myself taking charge more often and attracted talented people as a result!

        – Michael Masukawa, Class of 2011

I believe the true power of IDEAL lies in the lifelong friends you make there. This is a club where we support each other and together we become leaders.

       – Luqi Ge, Class of 2015

IDEAL Leaders Association wasn’t just about public speaking or providing its member with the basis for critical thinking and problem solving. IDEAL has taught me to pursue the things I find daunting, to work together because of the possibilities we see, to dare others because of the potential we find in them. Whether it was organizing one of the biggest speech contests at UCLA, or fundraising for a trip to Big Bear, I have cherished each experience as they have pushed me to grow not only as an individual, but also as a team player. Most importantly, through this organization I have found like-minded individuals who have inspired me to be who I am today.

 – Alex Wong, Class of 2012

IDEAL has helped shape me into the person I am today. Not only did I find my voice as a leader, but I also found friendships that would last a lifetime.

    – Christine Truong, Class of 2014

Being in IFam – both as a member and later a leader – was really worth it. It’s how I first got really involved in the club and how I made some of my closest friends.

   – Jason Zhang, Class of 2014

When applying to work for either law firms or courts, employers would frequently ask me about IDEAL. They wanted to know why I joined IDEAL. I would say because I wanted to grow. IDEAL helped me grow.

             – Donald Ung, Class of 2010

The IDEAL Network helped me land a job at Baxter Healthcare. I’ll gladly pay it forward to the chemical engineers and biomedical engineers that graduate from UCLA and want to be in corporate America Healthcare. Also, if you feel like you want to spend the rest of your life in a lab I can also refer you to a job at Baxter! Feel free to reach out to me on Facebook or LinkedIn.
