IDEAL Ice Skating, Vol. 2

Date: Friday, January 8, 2010
Time: 7:00pm – 10:30pm
Where: 4545 S. Sepulveda Boulevard, Culver City 90230

Happy Winter Break everyone!!!

To kick the winter quarter off on an appropriate note, we are going ice skating again, because 2 hours on ice last quarter just wasn’t enough! I think everyone who went wants MORE and for those of you who missed it here is your 2nd chance!

I won’t be rushing back from an internship this time so our departure will be more organized and you won’t see me chasing after the green bus!

So to recap the plan:
We are going to meet at the Bruin Bear as close to 7:00PM as possible and then take the Culver City 6 green bus together to the Culver Ice Arena and have a great fun night together skating, on ice! If you have never ice skated before, seriously, don’t worry… there are pros here to help you get the hang of it and it is really not too tough. You will catch on quick.

WHAT TO BRING
1. Your Bruincard
2. 2 Quarters for bus fare (with your bruincard, the bus fare is only 25 cents. Good deal!)
3. $10 for skating (if we have more than 12 people, which we surely will, then it is a 10 dollar flat rate with the skate rentals free.
4. Any friends interested in ice skating and possibly joining IDEAL! Don’t worry, it won’t be like a fraternity rush event where we make you pledge before we let you skate, haha. We just want at least 12 people, so the more the merrier! Bring your friends!

PLEASE try to get to the bruin bear on time because we don’t want to leave anyone behind and make them take a separate bus. That’s no fun. The ice rink is open to the public from 8-10:30PM so we want to leave Ackerman Terminal via bus as soon as possible after 7PM. So be at the Bruin Bear or be square.

I hope to skate with you all again and to see you at the first IDEAL meeting of the quarter- I’ll make the event in a few weeks. When I was taking a shower the other day I actually thought of some ice skating games that could actually work. So I got a couple of tricks up my sleeve.

Have a relaxing and fun break- we have all earned it for our hard work last quarter!
